Dragon claws vs Armadyl godsword
Both are special-attack weapons people overpay for. Claws burst. AGS hits like a truck or it does not. Pick for the boss, not the highlight clip.
Price difference (live GE data)
Dragon claws

Armadyl godsword
7.2m 7,183,947 gp
Dragon claws dump four hits on a spec. Armadyl godsword (AGS) is a two-handed slash spec with a high max. They fill the same inventory slot in a lot of PvM and PvP kits. They do not play the same.
Stat differences
| Spec | Dragon claws | Armadyl godsword |
|---|---|---|
| Spec | 4-hit melee burst | Single huge slash |
| Hands | 1H (shield / defender) | 2H |
| Typical use | ToB, burst PvM, PvP | KO potential, some bosses |
| Energy | 50% | 50% |
| Price tier | Mid–high unique | Mid unique |
Claws keep a defender or ward in the off-hand. AGS does not. That alone decides some rooms. Claws are more consistent burst. AGS is spikier — fine when you need a KO, annoying when you need a reliable 50% dump.
Which one should you buy
Buy claws if you do ToB or other content where a 50% four-hit spec with an off-hand matters. Buy AGS if you already have a 1H spec or you specifically want the godsword KO.
If your stack only fits one, check the live prints above. The “correct” PvM answer is often claws. The correct budget answer is whichever is actually cheap this week versus the other.
